  15. <p>     DIED. CATHERINE FILENE SHOUSE, 98, philanthropist and founder
  16. of the Wolf Trap Farm Park for the Performing Arts; in Naples,
  17. Florida. The heiress of a Boston retailing fortune, Shouse grew
  18. up in a house full of music and had long dreamed of creating
  19. a cultural park. In 1966 she donated 100 acres of her Wolf Trap
  20. farm in Virginia to the Federal Government to create a national
  21. park for the performing arts. Inaugurated in 1971, Wolf Trap
  22. is visited by 500,000 people annually.
